The Craigshill Supported Accommodation is situated at Adelaide Street. The accommodation provides a safe place to stay for young people aged 16-26 for up to 6 months . The Supported Accommodation staff team is comprised of 5 project workers and a service managerr, who run the service 24hrs a day 365 days year.

The hostel aims to provide a welcome and homely atmosphere to young people at a time when they most need it. All young people have an allocated keyworker to support them through their time at the hostel and to help access accommodation at the end of their stay.

content-imageAll young people have their own room and the hostel has a communal lounge, dining room and kitchen.  Visitors are welcomed to the project to encourage residents to stay in touch with family and friends and those who are important to them. Young people have access to a computer room to use the internet and complete CV’s etc. The hostel also provides group work sessions on topics such as budgeting, managing a tenancy, housing rights, sexual health. The chill out zone run a drop in session once a month and West Lothian drug and alcohol service run regular drug and alcohol awareness sessions.

Staff support young people to link in with other services such as health, addiction, housing, mediation and employment and training services. We aim to support the young people to achieve all of their goals while they are at the hostel.

All referrals to the accommodation are made through West Lothian Council.
